Tissue box cover - patch work

I made 2 more tissue box cover last week.

Patch work 1

I used same fabrics as the bag that I made last month.

It was quiet fun to patch the fabrics together but
that made me confuse to measure the size.
T_T
After patch them somehow it seemed longer than I calculated
so I cut off mushroom fabric (the bottom one)... that I shouldn't cut!!!
I realised this at the end of process.
I was just about to add button and closer.

I added cotton tape to stretch top part but
it's still not long enough to cover the top.
I overlapped the tape and fabric too much.

It's always like this once I make a mistake,
it wants to be happen continuously.

Look at the big gap between cotton tapes.

Then when I pull the tissue from box
the gap didn't seem obvious.

I had a little crises the end but I completed.
:)

patch work 2

Changed the pattern of patch.

I added cute little label to decorate this simple patches.

To make a flat corner, I used bias tape to finish the top part.
Size is perfect this time.
:)

Added snap button to hold together.

The reason I make a tissue cover

This tissue box is the reason I start making tissue cover.
It stay in Kim's car back sit and somehow it was squished.
It was like that for a while...

Even if there is cover for box I need to make it solid.
Used lots of sticky tape to hold them together.

You won't notice it was squished ugly box.
:)

tissue box cover - Blue & Red

It's another tissue box cover but different style.
I followed this tutorial.
I was worry about making a mistake
so I choose jean fabric which I have plenty to use.
Blue and Red.
They are good together!

Then I found this. (below pic: red arrow part)
Corner fabric was lifted.
I need to think about how I can make it flat.
